candy crystals
I.A.L.T. create an edible experiment
Candy Crystals
Goal: To make candy crystals Materials: ½ cup water 1 ½ cups table sugar Food colouring, Jars, skewers or clothespins, metal bowl
Steps: 1 Fill bowl with water.
2. Pour sugar into water and make sure it all dissolves.
3. Take your skewers and dip them into the water only cover where you want the crystals to be.
4 . Place the stick over a plate and start to cover it with sugar. Make sure they dry all the way.
5. Boil the water for ten minutes
6. Add food colouring and flavour and leave it for ten minutes
7 Pour the solution into the jar and let them cool down so there not so hot.
8 Insert your sugar skewers into the solution and put two clothes pegs two balance them.
9. Leave it to 3 - 7 days 10 . When your candy crystals are finished they should look something like this.
